BMW has revealed the Vision Alpina concept, offering an early look at how the future of Alpina could evolve under BMW ownership. Instead of presenting an aggressive supercar or a fully electric performance vehicle, the concept stays close to Alpina's traditional identity by focusing on long-distance comfort, high-speed touring capability, and distinctive design.

The Vision Alpina is built as a large grand tourer with a body length of 5,200 mm, placing it among larger luxury performance cars. The long hood, low roofline, and stretched proportions emphasize its purpose as a car designed for covering long distances in comfort while maintaining a sporty appearance. Unlike many recent concepts that prioritize futuristic styling over practicality, BMW appears to be balancing both design and real-world usability.

One of the most noticeable design elements is the traditional Alpina identity integrated into the car. It features Alpina's classic 20-spoke wheel design, with 22-inch wheels at the front and 23-inch wheels at the rear. The car also carries hand-painted side graphics and a distinctive "Speed Feature Line" running along the body at a six-degree angle. At the front, BMW incorporates a modern interpretation of Alpina's recognizable shark nose styling, giving the concept a stronger visual identity.

Inside, BMW combines modern technology with a premium grand touring layout. The Vision Alpina includes a four-seat configuration designed specifically for four adults, prioritizing passenger comfort over maximum cabin capacity. The dashboard integrates BMW's latest panoramic display system along with a dedicated passenger display, creating a technology-focused environment without moving away from luxury expectations.

Perhaps the most interesting detail is what sits under the hood. While many performance concepts are moving toward electrification, BMW confirmed the Vision Alpina uses a V8 engine, currently understood to operate without a hybrid system. The concept also features an Alpina-specific quad exhaust setup designed to deliver a distinctive sound profile. The company has not released official performance figures such as horsepower, torque, acceleration times, or top speed, but the decision to retain a V8 signals that traditional performance characteristics remain part of Alpina's direction.

BMW also introduces two main driving modes for the concept: Comfort Plus and Speed. This reflects Alpina's long-standing philosophy of building cars intended for high-speed grand touring and relaxed long-distance driving rather than outright track-focused performance.
