The General Directorate of Traffic in Qatar has a number of departments, each of them supervises specific tasks aimed at facilitating the work of the General Directorate of Traffic and achieving the objectives it aims to achieve in the interest of citizens and residents in Qatar. The General Directorate of Traffic departments are:

One of the most important sections of the General Directorate of Traffic in Qatar is the Licensing and Registration Department, which oversees vehicle licensing process each year. The purpose of these procedures is to ensure that all security and durability conditions are met in the vehicles that will drive on the streets of Qatar.

 

Licensing and Registration Department is also responsible for registering and maintaining the information of all vehicles in Qatar, which can be considered as a comprehensive database containing all records, information and data relating to vehicle specifications and owners.
