General Directorate of Traffic launches Awareness Campaign During Ramadan

The Traffic awareness section of the General Directorate of Traffic has launched an awareness campaign under the name of "Ramadan, drive safely", aiming at spreading traffic awareness and safety rules during the holy month of Ramadan. The campaign contains many activities and events for all levels of society.

One of the events organized by the General Directorate of Traffic during the campaign is organizing a traffic exhibition at Qatar Mall. The exhibition will include many events and competitions, in addition to organizing another traffic exhibition in Souq Waqif. It is also planned to organize visits to family councils in all regions of the country in Doha, North, South, Shehaniya and Dukhan. An exhibition will also be held at the main hall of the General Directorate of Traffic for distributing books and religious tapes.

In partnership with the Qatar Red Crescent, a fasting breakfast will be organized throughout the holy month, a different breakfast for the elderly and gifts will be distributed to them as well as break fasting  for truck drivers on truck lanes. In addition, traffic patrols will be intensified to regulate traffic, especially at peak times. There will be numerous traffic patrols in school areas, shopping malls and overcrowded areas to maintain road safety and safety and facilitate traffic.
