Check your car oils before travelling for long distance following these steps

Traveling using the car or going out on long trips using the car is great and fun. But at the same time you need to fully equip the vehicle to avoid any sudden problems on the road.

 

Take care and do some tests for your car before you decide to go on a trip, do not underestimate this check because you will drive for a very long time and you may not have enough time to check the car during the trip .

 

One of the most important things in the car, other than tires, batteries and fuel, is to check the car oils. Since no part in the vehicle will operate efficiently if there is any leak or problem in car oils.

What are the steps to check your car oils before traveling?

 

1. Check engine oil

 

  • To measure engine oil, stop the engine and then pull the oil meter.
  • Wipe the oil meter with a cloth, then put it inside the tube.
  • Pull the meter back from the tube and check the oil level.
  • If the oil level is between the two labels, the oil is at the safe level. if it is higher, it is OK.
  • If the oil level is lower, refill it and check the engine.

 

2. Check the automatic gear oil

 

The way of examining gear oil varies according to its type in the car:

 

A - If your car's gear is equipped with D.4.3.2.1

 

  • When the automatic gear oil is tested, the vehicle must be operated for at least 5 minutes.
  • Make sure that the car is on a straight ground.
  • Move gear from position P To R Then to N .
  • After doing the previous step move the gear to D Then 3,2,1 and then turn it into P Quickly
  • Then check the oil in the same way as checking the engine oil.

B - If the car gear only contains a position D

 

  • Move the gear stick from the position P To R .
  • Move the gear quickly from position R To  N Then to D one more time.
  • Then set the gear to position P Again.
  • check the oil in the same way as the engine oil.

 

3. Check brake oil

 

Ensure that the brake oil level between the two labels. If the oil is less than the minimum level, check the brake and other related parts to ensure that there is no leakage in the oil. Then add the oil until it reaches the required level.

 

If the level of brake oil between the two signs, it means that the oil is in its perfect level.

 

You can now travel by your car or go on a long journey without any fear of having problems or breakdowns in the car during the trip.
