Audi Stops Selling 140,000 Cars for Airbag Defect

By, 2018-06-26

Any slight error in manufacturing vehicles cause heavy losses to car makers. BMW, once before, recalled mew M5s over faulty fuel pumps.

Audi, for this time, decides to stop selling about A6 and A7 cars in USA due to defects in seat's sensors. These sensors play a crucial role in determining whether there is someone on the seat or not and if these sensors do not work, airbags will not.

There are almost 249 cars having this default, so Audi decided to stop selling all its A6 and A7 cars in America. In addition, Audi decided to recall all of its cars from these models for some tests and repair of faulty vehicles.

There have been no accidents or injuries due to this fault, and there is no defect in these models in the Middle East markets, but only in the US markets.
