“your life is a trust” the 34th launch of traffic week activities

 

In accordance to its traffic awareness duty and people’s safety,  the General Directorate of Traffic announced the launch of the 34^th traffic week which will be held from March 18-24 at Darb Al Saai entitled “ your life is a trust”.

 

Director of Media and Traffic Awareness Department at the General Directorate of Traffic Lt. Col. Mohammad Radhi Al Hajri said the event will run till Mar. 24 and will be open to the public. The event will have a morning session from 8am to 12pm and an evening session from 4pm to 9pm.
More than 60 entities will join the celebration this year. There will be activities in different parts of the country other than Doha under the Traffic Departments. The event will  include activities for children and some youth initiatives through youth hostel centers and Qatar University. The ministries, authorities and agencies concerned will take part in awareness programs. There will be a debate among high school students under the title “Driving without a license between rejection and acceptance”. 

Traffic Week Celebrations will include, for the first time, a licensing department pavilion, offering a variety of services to the public, such as registration of vehicles, payment of traffic violations and issuing driving licenses, as well as a counter for Metrash services and other electronic services. There will be traffic-related contests daily sponsored by driving schools. The event includes activities and pavilions of Lakhwiya, a motorcycle circuit, Batabit Qatar, as well as the activities of Al Shaqab. It also includes a traffic village in co-operation with Shell, which includes a range of awareness activities suitable for all ages.
