15 Dec 2025
If you’re planning to decorate your car this year, here’s everything you need to know.
Vehicle decorations are only permitted from 14 to 20 December 2025. Any decorations displayed outside this period may be considered a violation and subject to penalties.
🚫 Key Restrictions:
1. Vehicle Colour Must Not Be Changed
Drivers are not allowed to alter the original colour of their vehicle in any way. Wrapping, repainting, or covering the car to change its appearance is strictly prohibited.
2. Licence Plates Must Remain Fully Visible
Both the front and rear licence plates must remain unobstructed at all times. Decorations must not cover, distort, or reduce the visibility of plate numbers.
3. No Tinting or Colouring of Windows
It is prohibited to tint, colour, or cover:
· The front windshield
· The rear windshield
· The driver’s side window
· The front passenger’s side window
Clear visibility is essential for safe driving and enforcement.
4. Stickers Must Be National Day–Related Only
Written stickers or decals that are unrelated to Qatar National Day celebrations are not permitted. Any messages displayed must be appropriate and relevant to the occasion.

The MoI’s regulations are designed to balance national celebration with road safety. Excessive or improper decoration can limit visibility, distract other drivers, and interfere with traffic monitoring systems.
Failure to comply may result in fines, vehicle penalties, or the removal of decorations.
Qatar National Day is a time of pride and unity. By following these guidelines, drivers can celebrate safely while respecting the law and contributing to a smooth and secure festive period for everyone on the road.
