Important tips to protect the damaged car from rain water

 

As the rainy season in Qatar is approaching us, rainwater is not something that you want your automobile to be exposed to. But, you have no control over such a natural occurrence, and stop driving in the rainy season is not a viable option.  

 

Cars are the most vulnerable in the rainy season, as they come into direct contact with water that permeates some parts and damages them. Drivers whose cars are exposed to rainwater must take 4 precautions to avoid vehicle loss. These four measures can be found here:

 

1. Make sure the insurance contract will cover you

 

The owner of a vehicle severely damaged by rainwater must take all legal measures before making any action by making a record of the case and informing the insurance company if the car is insured, so as not to waste his right.

 

2. Engine handling

 

The owner of a vehicle that has leaked water strongly to its engine room is prohibited from operating the engine for any reason. Once the engine is out of the water, you'll need to get the water out of the engine. Disconnect the battery—ground cable, then positive cable—and set it somewhere dry. Remove plastic engine covers and dry everything you can reach with shop towels.

 

3. Car interior handling

 

Leaving the cabin without drying will erode the body and seat structures as well, so it is advisable to remove the seats from their places and make sure they are dry, as well as drying their places inside the cabin and then return them again.

 

3. Dealing with car electricity

 

After the inside of the car is exposed to water, it is forbidden to turn on any electrical circuit so that the person will not be stunned or the car itself will be damaged. All you need to do is to separate the electrodes and dry the braids and circuits.This is also in the hands of specialists.
