Honda "Smart Intersection" technology for vehicle-to-everything (V2X(

 

Honda has announced the development of a new technology called "Smart Intersection" to reduce traffic accidents that occur on road junctions because drivers do not know what is there. It should be noted that there are now techniques for sensing objects, but these devices are unable to predict what is on the corner.

 

What is "smart intersection" technology? How does it work?

Smart intersection technology helps drivers see what they can not see before they reach it. Smart intersection uses a program to monitor objects based on four cameras that are installed at intersections at traffic lights. These cameras record videos of vehicles and pedestrians and send information to the driver through V2X technology at 360 degrees giving drivers the ability to see behind the walls and avoid any traffic accidents that can occur.

Honda will test the new technology in the city of Marysville, California, USA on 200 vehicles, because this technology needs a modern infrastructure.
