Traffic Diversion on Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street for 2 Months

 

The Public Works Authority of Qatar (Ashghal) has announced a traffic diversion on Al Rayan Street in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. The diversion will begin on Friday 12 October 2018 and will continue for two months  in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

 

The diversion will allow Ashghal to conduct construction that would increase the lane capacity from 2 to 4 lanes in each direction along Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street.

Road users travelling eastbound on Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street will be required to use the new temporary signal to turn left on to Al Busayer Street and head towards Al Rayyan Municipality and Al Shaqab area, or make a U-turn to travel towards Bani Hajer. They can also access Al Nayef Petrol Station from Al Busayer Street.

 

The Public Works Authority will install road signs to alert drivers of this closure and which alternative roads to use during the closure, stressing that road users must adhere to the specified speed limits which has been reduced from 80 to 50km and follow the road signs in order to ensure their safety.
