It seems that the golden color has become a favorite color for car lovers. In this sense, the Bavarian manufacturer did paint two of its cars in gold! BMW has recognized the i3 and i8 by adding luxurious touches to its cars and giving them a 24-carat gold look.

What are the specifications of the BMW i3 and i8?

The Starlight Edition includes the basic manufacturing specifications, and modifications made by BMW Group Czech Republic in in collaboration with Toplac. As for the 23.75 carat of gold dust, it is provided from Liebscher Blattgold GmbH. The two cars were painted with four layers of gold, the last of which was painted manually.

There are also some interior parts painted in gold, such as the central panel, steering wheel's logo and the edges of the windows and there is inside the cars a panel written on it "STARLIGHT Edition one of one."

The black color with the golden one added great luxury and power to the two cars. They appear to be a piece of a dark sky adorned with gold stars. The black and gold are not only incorporated into the exterior of the cars but also from the inside with black leather.

What are the specifications of the BMW i3 and i8 engines?

There are no updates on the engines of Starlight Edition, the i8 Starlight Edition is powered by a 1.5 liter turbo engine and an electric motor capable of generating 357 hp and 420 pound-feet of torque. 6-speed automatic transmission is added to the engine and it delivers power to the four wheels, making it accelerating from zero to 60 mph in only 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of 155 mph.

The i3 Starlight Edition is a synchronous electronic engine that can generate 170 hp and 184 pound-feet of torque and it is not as fast as the i8, but it can pass 60 mph in 7.3 seconds. Its top speed is 93 mph.

It is worth mentioning that they have manufactured just one version and it has not yet announced the prices for both cars, but it will certainly be very expensive. Germany's BMW said the two cars will be sold at a benefit auction where the proceeds from the sale would go back to Dagmar and Václav Havel Foundation VIZE 97 for charitable purposes.
