Qatar: Paperwork Abolishing of Transferring vehicle ownership

 

In order to facilitate all traffic and other services provided to individuals in Qatar, the Ministry of the Interior and the General Directorate of Traffic have worked to build Metrash 2 application to facilitate access to services through the use of smart phones.

In this context, the General Directorate of Traffic in Qatar announced on 30/7/2018 the abolishing of transferring mechanical vehicle ownership sold through  suspension of the use of paper transactions on the transfer of ownership of mechanical vehicles sold through the (vehicle showrooms) starting  on 1/9/2018. Instead of using paperworks, transfer of ownership will be approved through Metrash 2 services for traffic services. For further inquiry and clarification, individuals can go to the main building of the General Directorate of Traffic at Khalifa Counter (9-10).
