Qatar: a new service to renew the vehicle license electronically

The General Directorate of Traffic announced on Monday a new service that facilitates the procedures of renewing the license of vehicles electronically through the application of Metrash 2 or through their website.

Brigadier Al-Kharji said that the aim of the electronic services is to reduce the procedures and effort on the drivers, since the rate of transactions per month is 70,000 and 4,000 license transactions per day.

This service will allow drivers to renew the license of vehicles without visiting the General Directorate of Traffic. They complete all procedures through Metrash 2 application. Not only that, but the citizen can receive the license transaction where he want through the General Postal Corporation, in addition to that the service is available 24 hours through the application.

These measures are part of the development of services offered by the Ministry of the Interior according to Qatar Vision 2030, which will facilitate and ease the procedures of serving the citizens. Brigadier Mohamed Saad Al Kharji called on citizens to use the application and benefit from the services of the General Directorate of Traffic.

In addition to the availability of the vehicle licensing service, there are many other services in the application such as registration of minor traffic accidents, transfer of ownership and transfer the ownership of a significant number. The General Directorate of Traffic organized a lecture on the traffic law and the most common violations, and all inquiries were received and answered.
