For the sixth month on a row, petrol prices in Qatar will increase by Dh 5.0 a litre starting from tomorrow March 1st, as the Ministry of Energy & Industry has announced today through Qatar Petroleum website (QP.com.qa).
According to QP, starting from March 1st, the Diesel cost will increase to QR(1.90) while, and the super gasoline's cost will increase to QR(1.95). However, the 95-octane premium gasoline cost will remain at QR(1.85). With these prices, petrol in Qatar would have reached to the highest prices ever been registered in Qatar.
Fuel prices in Qatar were regulated in response to changes in the global market from April 2016. A special committee reviews fuel prices every month and make recommendations on proposed prices for the local market accordingly.
