Here are some of the legislations, including the important ones to drivers, ratified by His Royal Highness Prince yesterday Wednesday 19th August 2015. We ask all visitors to Q Motor Trader to read and publish:
- Vehicles of diplomatic and international and regional bodies and the sports clubs will be licensed for two years instead of one year.
- Prevent any development of any impediments to obstruct pedestrians or occupy the road without a written permit.
- Prevent the display of vehicles for sale at squares or public parking spaces or sidewalks or open land without a license
- 3 months notice to the owners of seized vehicles to pay fines and fees, or the their vehicles will be sold by public auctions
- Imprisonment for a period not exceeding one year and a fine not exceeding 10 thousand Riyals for each violation of the new traffic laws.
- An authorised person is illegible to conduct a conciliation in the specific schedule of reconciliation crimes
- Exemption from 50% of the value of fine if the amount is paid within 30 days from the date of the offence
- The violator will be presented for a trial in the event of refusal to come to terms with no permission to stop execution of the sentence.
- Amendments will apply to the points scheme of the traffic offences
- Exceeded the speed limit by more than 60 kilometres per hour will result to deduction of 4 points.
- Exceeded the speed limit by more than 50 kilometres per hour will result to deduction of 3 points.
- QR 1000 fine and 3 points deducted for parking at designated places for people with special needs without permission.
