Petrol prices in Qatar will increase by Dh 5 a litre next month, as the Ministry of Energy & Industry has announced today through Qatar Petroleum website (QP.com.qa).
According to QP, starting from January 1st, the Diesel cost will increase to QR(1.75) while the 95-octane premium gasoline cost will increase to QR(1.80), and the super gasoline's cost will increase to QR(1.85). With these prices, petrol in Qatar would have been nealry doubled in the last 3 years.
Fuel prices in Qatar were regulated in response to changes in the global market from April 2016. A special committee reviews fuel prices every month and make recommendations on proposed prices for the local market accordingly.
