In December 2017, Woqod will introduce credit and debit cards payment options.
“Woqod is in the process of accepting debit and credit cards for fuel sales at petrol stations by the end of this year,” said Woqod Chief Executive Officer Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi.
Al Muhannadi said the number of petrol stations currently operated by the company, which includes mobile dispensing facilities, has reached 58. A further 13 stations are currently under construction while another 12 is in the tendering and designing stage.
Woqod's expansion plan includes increasing the number of petrol stations to 83 by the end of 2018 and 120 by 2022.
