Traffic update: Parts of Doha Corniche will be closed on Friday, Saturday

If you plan to visit Doha Corniche this weekend, then you must be aware that there will be a partial closure at one stretch of the Corniche Street.

“Ashghal” announced that the street which is off the Post Office Interchange will be closed starting Friday 1pm until Saturday evening.

The closure will take place over two stages. The first one will include closing a part of the main Corniche Street in the direction from Doha Sheraton Hotel to the Ministry of Interior. There will be diversions to the right onto Al Markhiya Street to get to Lekhwair Intersection and make a U-turn to go back to Corniche Street.

After completing the first stage, “Ashghal” is planning to start the second stage of the project which includes closing the slip roads going from Corniche Street into and out of Al Markhiya Street. There will be diversions in front of the Post Office where drivers must turn onto Al Markhiya Street and vice versa.
