Lambo’s first-ever SUV will arrive in 2018! But will it find customers?

 

With Porsche having introduced an SUV in 2003, and Bentley in 2016 it was only a matter of time before the other premium sports car and supercar manufacturers join in the fun.

 

For many years, there has been rumours about the upcoming Lamborghini Urus, the company’s first-ever SUV. The new car was finally spotted in production form on public roads.

 

Although camouflaged almost entirely, the test vehicle reveals essential details about what Lambo promises to be the world’s fastest and most dynamic SUV.

 

The Urus distinctly looks like a Lamborghini car, featuring all of the hard angles and aggressive styling a Lambo buyer would expect. Although clearly an SUV, the features are heavily inspired by the Aventador and share some of the cues seen on the more recent Huracan model.

 

Yet, the front of the car looks like other french cars and the car body looks like some American cars. The bumper has been redesigned into a more massive looking piece, but it now feels more utilitarian and less sporty. This could disappoint some Lamborghini fans who want their favourite car to be distinct in its first SUV.

 

The Urus is still a year away from production, but reports saying that it will have a QR 822,000.
