Lexus’s April fool this year was very special as it highlighted a problem many drivers face in Qatar. The problem is to be stuck behind a slow driver who blocks the fast lane.
The April fool is that Lexus has developed a new system based around vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication technology that could be the answer to impatient drivers' prayers. The opnly problem to this new invention is that it is a lie.
Lexus called that new technology "Lane Valet" which automatically steers slower-moving vehicles out of the fast lane and into, as the automaker puts it, "the more appropriate" lane for certain drivers.
Sadly for many drivers, especially in Qatar, the “Lane Valet” technology is an April Fools' Day joke, as indicated by Lexus's quoted rollout date of April 1, 2017.
According to Lexus, Lane Valet is activated when the driver push a button on the dashboard. If this joke comes true, we will not see people flashing in the fast lane, instead, we will see drivers pressing the button hundred times to move the car in front of them!
