The famous Romanian auto magazine Automarket.ro had the chance to speak with Rolls-Royce’s Regional Director for Germany, Northern and Eastern Europe, Mr. Peter-Paul Schoppmann. Schoppmann said that “the London-based luxury marque does not really have any competitors in the car business since none of the other top-end auto manufacturers are able to offer competing luxury car in terms of equipment, luxury, and customization.
He also said that there is nothing above Rolls-Royce in the car market, adding that Bentley isn’t really a competitor, specially that for the price of one Rolls-Royce, you can buy two Bentley cars.
It is worth mentioning that the average selling price of a new Rolls-Royce is just above QR 1.2m and the company’s clients are on average in their 50s, down by 15 years compared to previous times. The Wraith coupe and the Dawn convertible, from Rolls-Royce, are attracting the youngest buyers, with the average age standing at about 40+.
Instead of discussing other competitors such Bentley and Mercedes-Maybach, Schoppmann believes that Rolls-Royce does not worry about any rival in the auto industry.
