Mohammad Bin Rashid teaching us road manners

 

In actions that we rarely witness in the Arab world, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, was filmed standing and waiting at a pedestrian traffic light to turn green to cross the road in City Walk in Dubai. This action was to send a message to everyone to follow traffic rules, and that there is no one above the law.

 

This has happened only one day after Sheikh Mohammed issued orders to punish individuals who performed dangerous car stunts in City Walk, Dubai, last week, to clean streets in Dubai for 4 hours everyday for one month as a community service.

 

The driver of the car and the two guys with him in the car have been ordered to perform the community service. The offenders showed no respect for traffic laws and general road etiquette as they endangered the safety of people and property in the location.

 

The offenders filmed themselves during the drifting action which made it easy for Dubai Police to arrest and refer them to the authorities for legal action.
