Leaked Video Shows the first G-Class Maybach

A teasing video was published on the internet few days ago for the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. What made the video exciting is that the car has the Maybach touching for the first time.

Sure, Mercedes-Benz was exciting us with many versions of the G-Class, such as the amazing over-the-top G63 6x6, but the G-Wagen is essentially the same squared-off SUV with rifle-bolt locks and doors with enough mass to support a minor gravity field.

Spy shots show a replacement is finally on the horizon, but based on the leaked YouTube video which you can watch below, it looks like the current model has received a full Mercedes-Maybach upgrades.

While there has been no official word from the Mercedes, and knowing that this video was leaked, all signs point to a genuine Mercedes-Maybach product. You will see that the car is a luxury G650, which falls in line with other current V12-powered Mercedes-Maybach products. You will also see the Maybach brand spotted in all the possible places in on the G650.

The number-plate closely matches other Mercedes German-manufacturer plates. The carbon fiber fender flares and portal axles look like they were taken from the G550 4x42. The latter means, despite the increased wheelbase, this new model should still be a formidable off-road machine. While we can't see the interior in the leaked photos, look for the typical Maybach treatment. That means a very high-quality leather seats and surfaces and a special focus on rear seat comfort and convenience.

Knowing that this unique car is a G650, it accommodates a 6.0 liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine under the hood that churns out more than 630 horsepower. The partial convertible top is what gives this this car an edge over any other SUV.
