In a strange case, a woman living in Qatar has filed a lawsuit with the criminal court claiming QR5 million in compensation for the injuries caused by reckless driver who crashed into her car. reported Gulf Daily News.
The woman suffered from a broken knee and had to go through several surgeries in one of the hospitals in Doha.
The driver initially received a fine of QR3,000 by the court of first instance, and was ordered to pay QR80,000 in compensation to the woman. The woman was not satisfied and she appealed and her compensation was increased after the appeal to become QR200,000.
The women still thinks that the compensation is not justifying the injuries she sustained due to the accident, hence she brought the case to the court of cassation, claiming QR5 million. A final verdict is awaited.
