In light of the recent developments in the spread of Corona-Covid-19 virus, and in implementation of the medical precautions in place in the country to ensure the safety of all, the Traffic Department in Qatar have decided that all vehicles that are expected to renew their Istimara (registration) are exempted from reporting to a Fahes centre for technical inspection.
In an interview with Al Rayan TV Channel yesterday, Lieutenant Abdul Mohsen Al Ruwaili, officer at the Awareness Department said that all vehicles (Cars, Vans, Trucks, Motorcycles, and lorries) will be exempted from the technical inspection as of March 22, 2020 in order to benefit from online services.
Al Ruwaili has also said that this came in collaboration with Fahes centres and for motorists to get the approval online, they will have to download the Woqod app, navigate to the Fahes section, request for a “new check”, fill in the data and complete the inspection process.
