Many people prefer buying used cars instead of new ones to save money, but one of the drawbacks of used cars is that they often have stickers on the car windows.
And when the new owner of the car tries to remove these stickers, it causes some scratches on the glass because he/she does not know enough about the correct way to remove the stickers, or he is not able to remove the sticker completely which leaves some marks visible on the glass. So we offer you here a number of simple ways to remove stickers without damaging the windshield of the car.
1- Place hot and moistened papers directly on the sticker, and leave it for about ten minutes, and then scrub the sticker, then you will find the sticker was removed easily.
2- Heat the sticker with a hair dryer for a few minutes, you will find the sticker coming out of the glass easily, as heating helps to soften the adhesive and makes the sticker flexible.
3- You can also apply vinegar on the glass, it is known for its ability to remove the adhesive as well, and it is possible to remove the adhesive by placing a towel moistened with vinegar on the place to remove the adhesive from it for a period starting from 10 minutes to a quarter of an hour.
4- Apply regular oil on the sticker, and leave it for 10 minutes, you will find the sticker easy to remove, and in case there are leftovers, rub it and remove it.
5- Hold an ice pack over the sticker for a few minutes to cool off the adhesive. Then, use a razor blade to remove the sticker.
6- The last method is to pass a blade under the sticker, but we do not recommend this method because it is possible that some scratches can occur on the glass.
