Ex-Nissan chief Carlos Ghosn has fled Japan for Lebanon

QMotor - In a very strange escape case, similar to "Mission Impossible" movies, Carlos Ghosn, the former head of the Renault-Nissan union, managed to escape from the Japanese capital, Tokyo, and arrive in Lebanon under cover.

 

After a series of accusations that were started with the arrest of Ghosn when he landed from his private plane in Tokyo during the month of November 2018, and he spent 108 days in detention before being released on bail, to return after that with new charges he spent imprisonment for an additional 21 days before submitting Another guarantee, the year 2019 did not end, before he escaped to his home country, Lebanon, in a mysterious way.

 

According to confirmed official information, the French newspaper Les Echos revealed that the former president of the Renault-Nissan alliance, Mr. Carlos Ghosn, fled from Japan to arrive in Lebanon on Monday morning (or Sunday evening, according to some reports).

 

It was not clear how Ghosn left Japan before he was subjected for house arrest there, given that he faced accusations of financial irregularities.

 

Ghosn holds a French and Lebanese citizenship was awaiting the final ruling in a case against him in April 2020, which made the Japanese authorities impose severe restrictions on his movements, but all this did not prevent Ghosn from escaping and returning to his homeland.

 

Although Carlos had previously denied all charges against him, the Japanese judiciary accuses him of numerous financial manipulations, which include using Nissan funds to pay for personal knowledge, embezzling company funds for personal use, and keeping his entire income hidden.
