Petrol Prices remarkably decrease in Qatar for January

The Ministry of Energy and Industry announces on its official website Qatar Petroleum the prices of fuel in the Qatari market in order to unite prices at all petrol stations. The official announcement of the Ministry of Energy and Industry for January shows a remarkable and significant drop in petrol prices.

Fuel prices in Qatar is witnessing an obvious falling in January. According to QP, in January, the price of premium will be QR1.50 per litre, a fall of 12% as compared to QR 1.80 in December. Meanwhile super will now be available for QR 1.55 per litre as compared to QR 1.85 sold in December; 16% falling. The diesel prices have also dropped from QR 2.00 to QR 1.75 per litre in January.

How petrol prices are calculated in Qatar

Fuel prices in Qatar were regulated in response to changes in the global market from April 2016. A special committee reviews fuel prices every month and make recommendations on proposed prices for the local market accordingly.
