The General Directorate of Traffic started a new campaign entitled "Back to School". The campaign aims at visiting primary schools to educate children about traffic safety and its requirements.
This General Directorate of Traffic, in coordination with the Ministry of Education, conducts visits to primary schools and talk with them about the behaviors that must be followed and avoided to maintain their safety of traffic.
Colonel Mohammed Al-Hajri pointed out that the decision of the Ministry of Education to change the school leaving time was positive and has led to a reduction in traffic congestion and facilitate the traffic around schools and roads with high population.

In cooperation with the Public Works Authority "Ashghal", signs have been implemented in the roads around the schools. Moreover, the speed of these roads has been set to 30 km / h and drivers must adhere to the speed limits. In addition, bumps and pedestrian crossing signs were placed next to schools to minimize the risk of traffic accidents.
During their visit to the schools, they gave many tips for students, talked about the importance of traffic lights in organizing traffic and congratulated them on the new school year, wishing them safety. Finally, they distributed gifts to all students.
