Airbus developing a flying car

For the last two years, the department of helicopters at Airbus has been working on a breakthrough concept that will possibly change the experience of traveling within the city. Up to this moment, the design is kept under wraps.

A number of well experienced developers from Europe are developing an electrically operated platform design for multiple passengers. The flying car which, known to be called CityAirbus, will have multiple propellers and also resemble a small drone in its basic design.

The idea for the flying car is that it will be operated by a pilot, similarly to a helicopter, to allow for quick entry into the marketlater on, it would switch over to full autonomous operations once regulations take place. The plan, as stated by Airbus, is to start testing CityAirbus by the end of 2017. Can this be real!
