Qatar Luxury Classic Cars Contest & Exhibition 2025 - 19th November to 23rd November 2025

Today marks the start of a spectacular celebration of automotive heritage in Qatar: the 6th Edition of the Qatar Luxury Classic Cars Contest & Exhibition, hosted by the Qatari Gulf Classic Car Association (QGCCA). The event runs from 19 to 23 November 2025 at Medina Centrale, The Pearl Island, open daily from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM — and best of all, it’s free to attend.

A Showcase of Classics & Competition

• The exhibition features 71 luxury classic cars, carefully selected from 180 registrations.

• These cars compete across five historic categories, based on manufacturing era:

  1. Pre-1947

  2. 1948–1959

  3. 1960–1970

  4. 1971–1981

  5. 1982–1995 

• A panel of six judges — including four international FIVA-accredited experts and two experienced Qatari judges — will evaluate entries according to international standards.

• 20 prizes will be awarded:

  • 15 for the top three in each of the five categories

  • 5 “Excellence Awards” for:

    • Best Exceptional Luxury Car

    • Most Iconic and Distinguished Car

    • Best Preserved Original Car

    • Best Preserved Qatari Heritage Car

    • Best Car in Show

• Winners will be announced at a closing ceremony on 23 November.

Heritage, Education & Engagement

• Qatar Museums is deeply involved: its Deputy CEO for Operations, Mohammed Zidan Al Zaidan, confirmed that Qatar Auto Museum will participate with a symbolic car, but will not compete.

• QM is also launching an educational program to introduce students to classic cars as cultural and artistic artefacts — blending engineering, design, and history. 

• The broader mission? To inspire a new generation of classic car enthusiasts, encouraging restoration, preservation, and appreciation of automotive heritage.

According to Eng. Abdul Latif Ali Al Yafei, Board Member and Secretary-General of QGCCA:

“This exceptional edition will feature distinguished participation from GCC countries … it reflects the regional prestige that this event has achieved … We aim to inspire classic car owners, especially youth, to preserve … the timeless artistry of these vehicles.”

He also emphasized the vital role played by sponsors, calling their support “instrumental” in elevating Qatar’s tourism and cultural identity.
