Pothole crisis is a universal problem that makes our journeys uncomfortable and costs governments a lot of money. In addition, it causes severe damages to vehicles: wheels, tires, and suspension system.
In this regard, Ford works to reduce the impact of potholes and damages roads for drivers of the all-new ford focus by introducing Pothole Detection Technology.

The system senses when wheels fall into a pothole and adjusts the suspension to stop them falling far into it limiting the impact of them. After that, the system sends a signal to the rear suspension to protect the wheel.
Ford engineers tested the system on different public roads to improve it so potholes do not have this great impact on vehicles anymore.
