More than 50 new cameras to capture right side overtaking

The Ministry of Interior (MOI) in Qatar have installed over 50 new radars and cameras to capture overtaking from the right side. The radar cameras are installed in areas such as Al Waab, Al Sad, and in some other intersections in Doha city.

In addition, the MOI has recently doubled fines of overtaking from the right side to QR1,000, from QR500. 100% increase!

The ministry said recently that there were more than 600 violations of overtaking from the right side, stopping in yellow box and the most hidden traffic violation which is changing lanes at intersections where many drivers fall into this violation.
