Volkswagen previews a mobile power banks for electric cars

The German manufacturer ,Volkswagen, has announced that it’s working on producing a mobile power banks for electric cars in a remarkable step by the German manufacturer before producing its ID Electric cars of VW.

The German manufacturer has inspired the idea from power banks for smartphones and many electronic devices, converting the idea into a new technology suitable for electric cars and moving from one place to another on demand. Named as portable charging stations, with a capacity of 360 kWh / hour, giving it the ability to charge 15 electric cars in full.

These power banks can charge 4 cars together through two outlet DC Electric and two currents AC Electrostatic. Moreover, once the station has no charge, it will be replaced with a new fully charged one. Volkswagen said the new power bank could be charged specifically through solar or wind power.

The German manufacturer is expected to set up the first mobile power bank in the first half of 2019 in the German city of Wolfsburg , where Volkswagen is. And will begin intensive production in 2020 to be made available in many other cities and will be sharing their location through an application for smartphones.
