Car owners usually tend to go to car washing shops to clean their wheels out of dust, in order to restore their shiny look. It is not cool when wheels are covered with brake dust since the car may look very old and doesn’t get any care.
The accumulation of brake dust on tires not only makes the appearance bad, but also affects the surface of the wheels if left over for a long time. The way to remove brake dust from tires is an easy process that you can do yourself without having to go to the car wash shops.

How to remove brake dust from wheels
It is easy to learn how to remove the brake dust from the car, and usually this process doesn’t take more than an hour: quarter of an hour per wheel.
1. Make sure that the wheels are cool and away from the sun, to keep them dry during the cleaning process making it easy to clean them.
2. Wash the wheels with running water from the hose to remove heavy dirt such as mud so that the dirt does not scratch the surface of the wheels during the cleaning process.
3. Choose the type of dust cleaner depending on the type of tire edges of your car, whether made of steel or alloy or with a clear layer of paint.
4. Be sure to read the information on the cleaner label to make sure it is the right one for your vehicle's wheels and notice how long it will take to clean the brake dust from the wheels.
5. Start with the cleaner on one wheel, and leave it according to the time specified on the cleaner’s package. You will notice after some time that the brake dust is vanishing and gradually remove it from the wheel.

6. When you notice that the brake dust has faded from the wheel, bring a soft cleaning brush of various sizes or a glove to clean the car wheels and rub the edges and alloys to get rid of the brake dust.
7. After washing the wheel with the hose, you may see some dust remaining on the surface of the wheels, repeat the previous step in this case.
8. Now you should dry the wheels, use a clean cloth to do the work.
9. To keep the wheel clean, place a layer of wax on the surface of the wheels.
10. Make sure to follow the instructions provided by the company when using wax, so as not to cause damage to the wheels of the vehicle. The importance of wax at this stage is to reduce accumulation of dust on the wheels and facilitate its removing process in case of accumulation back on the wheels.
