The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has announced a temporary and partial closure of the G-Ring Road southbound lanes. The closure will be implemented for 3 days starting on Thursday 1 November at 3 pm up to Sunday 4 November at 5 am.
This closure is to enable the installation of gantries of the Orbital Road. During the closure, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, road users will be required to follow the alternative ones.

During the closure, road users heading to the west should use Bahia junction exit 32 to exit towards 200. They can use the exit points at their destination. They can head east on Salwa Road towards Doha or head west on Salwa Road towards Buserma, Dukhan road and Mesaieed intersection. Users of the Seventh Ring to the West can use the intersection of Abba Al-Shaleel.
Traffic movement on the eastern lanes on G-Ring will be open as usual and Al Bahiya Interchange will not be affected by the closure either as will remain accessible in all the directions.The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit which remains at 80 kph along the proposed route, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
