Honda CR-V vs. Mazda CX-5, which to choose?

 

The Honda CR-V and the Mazda CX-5 have recently been popular within car lovers because of the similarities in size and price between them. So that, consumers find it hard to make a reasonable purchase decision. Pros and Cons of Honda CR-V

 

Design:

 

Honda CR-Vhas a great exterior design that shows the power features of the car. A car with a wonderful front with headlights and a chrome front grille. It is somehow similar to what we used to from Honda.

 

The Honda CR-V  is a SUV that combines sportiness and modernity since it is small enough to move in the narrowest car parks and spacious enough to accommodate up to 5 people comfortably.

 

Honda CR-V offers plenty of luggage space in the box and a comfortable seating area in the front, so the car can be considered family-friendly and can be traveled using it. The rear seats are fully folding and are great when trying to carry large objects.

 

Passengers in the rear seat can easily enter and exit through wide open doors up to 90 degrees. The rear seat provides plenty of comfort for passengers but the pillow in the center of the chair is very uncomfortable especially when driving for a long distance.

The Honda CR-V has many new technologies, including the ECON button for fuel efficiency, and a multi-angle rear view camera. It also features a 7-inch display compatible with Androids and IOS systems.

 

The Honda CR-V is powered by a 2.4 liter engine which provides a great torque and power, thus reducing fuel consumption. It is quieter and has a better noise management system than in previous versions, which has greatly reduced road noise.

 

As for the touch screen information, it  lacks a key to adjust the sound as it is operated and controlled by touch. The system also needs many steps to adjust settings such as radio and audio settings.

The new Honda CR-V has been developed to provide more control over the car, giving more smoothness and flexibility at turns. Design:

The Mazda CX-5 features a great steering wheel which can control the recorder, turn on the Bluetooth feature to answer the phone and the intelligent cruise control to keep the distance between you and the car in front of you.

 

In addition to the 7-inch navigation screen and information screen behind the steering wheel, the car comes with a 10-speaker recorder, an electric sunroof and a fully automatic air conditioner. But the screen icons are not marked well and it is difficult to control the touch screen such as changing the sound source

 

The car has not changed its engine specifications since last year. It comes in 2.5 liter 4 cylinder to give 188 hp at 6,000 rpm and 251 nm torque at 4000 rpm with 6-speed automatic transmission. The brakes have anti-slip and automatic stand-off feature.

 

Safety:

 

The CX-5 is superior to the CR-V on the safety front, with standard front impact warning and low-speed automatic emergency brake on all versions.

 

Although the car is quiet and noise reduction because of the addition of a thicker glass, this in turn led to  increased fuel consumption.
