A Temporary Closure on Northeast of Umm Lekhba Interchange

The Public Works Authority of Qatar “Ashghal”, in cooperation with the General Directorate of Traffic, has announced a temporary closure on Northeast of Umm Lekhba Interchange on Sunday 13 May,2018.

The closure, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will be for those heading from Umm Lekhba Interchange to Al Shamal. Therefore, the road users heading from Umm Lekhba Interchange to Al Shamal (through entering Al Shamal Road) or wishing to reach the commercial complexes, including Landmark Mall or the shopping complex, can use the alternative routes from Duhail Interchange.

The closure comes as a part of the completion of the Umm Lekhba Interchange development project to enable the construction works of the bridges on Umm Lekhba interchange which will enhance traffic flow and increase the street capacity to accommodate current and future traffic requirements.

Signs will be installed for drivers to alert them to the closure, duration and direction of roads they should use instead of using Umm Lekhba Interchange. The Public Works Authority urged citizens to adhere to the speed limits and follow signs and instructions in order to maintain their safety.
