Security robot launched at Hamad Airport

Ministry of Interior in cooperation with Internal Security Force launched a security robot at the Hamad International Airport.

The security robot has a form of a scooter and can measure pulse rate and recognize faces remotely. It has been developed locally in which it has cameras and sensors to figure out fake currencies, credit cards and any kind of explosive.

From the airport, Major Ali Rashid as live on social media; he explained the security robot's features. "The three-wheel scooter robot is small in size allowing for free mobility across different parts of airport. It has various devices fitted on it that allows it to operate on its own," he said.

He added that the robot has a camera placed near the side wheel scanning every passenger, displaying passenger's face, heartbeat, and identity displaying them into a screen near its handle.
