The Ford Raptor has mostly been a lone shark in the performance pickup market, but the off-road focused and Hellcat powered Ram TRX (Sometimes called T-Rex in reference to its competition) should definitely prove to be a worthy competitor.
It produces 702 horsepower from a supercharged V8, has 8 inch wider fenders than a Ram 1,500, and a reinforced suspension and frame.
To let you know how ridiculous the vehicle is, it also has a dedicated button for launch control. 0-60 is claimed at 4.5 seconds only. TRX is the first Ram truck to be equipped with Launch Control with Launch Assist, which regulates engine RPM and monitors wheel slip feedback to achieve the fastest possible acceleration rate.
