A Karwa driver who committed a major violation was fired

 

After the wide spread in social media of the image that shows a taxi driver driving on the pavement of Doha Cornich, The Ministry of Transport and Communication terminated the services of the driver, as reported to Al-Sharq Newspaper.

 

The photo of the taxi spread on social media platforms yesterday. Which made Mowasalat announce immediately through its Twitter account @Mowasalat_QAT that based on the investigation conducted by Mowasalat management with the driver who committed the violation on February 6, 2017 and the investigation with the operating company, The Ministry has taken the necessary actions to end the services of the driver on February 7, 2017.

 

The image shows the Karwa car cruising freely on pedestrian zone of Doha Corniche has topped all the social media platforms yesterday and the day before, which disappointed many of the followers who disapproved such acts, simply because the driver ignored all safety procedures and neglected any rules set by the Traffic Department.

 

Many of the active people of social media have demanded Karwa company to make sure the capabilities of the taxi drivers, especially with regards to following rules of the Traffic Department and comply with speed limits. Others also encouraged Karwa to train the drivers on locations of areas and landmarks in Doha.
